Reflection

24th of December 1991, I was born in the midst of the Christmas Eve. Being the second daughter of Mr. Wilfredo Sumen Santos and Mrs. Lolita Quintayo Santos, they raised me with a heart to be contented of what I have in my life. My name came after the sound like a christmas, Kristine Joyce Quintayo Santos in the age of 22 this year 2013. I have 3 siblings. My eldest sister, Chrystele who recently studying at University of the Philippines-Mindanao at her 5th year in the course of BS Architecture. My youngest sister, Charmaine who lately studied at Joji Ilagan International School who took up the course of IChef. And lastly, our youngest brother, John Lowell whose studying at STI-General Santos City is 2nd year in the course of BS ComSci. Luckily, we had parents who understands us. Striving us four to finish our studies.

I studied my pre-school, elementary and secondary years in New Era University-General Santos City located at Purok Malakas, Bgry. San Isidro, Lagao, Gen. Santos City. Being the second daughter is a tough one for me. For any valid reasons, my father thought that I was the black sheep of the family. He always hit me with his bare hands, always spanks me with those spiky woods. For that torture for my younger years, I didn't show how it affects my attitude and my life. For once, I did rebel to them. I do get drunk, always early morning to come home, late to woke up, do nothing and another cycle goes around for the entire day. I do had some vices, drinking alcoholic drinks, to be on the fraternity, smoking, being on the gang side. That's how do rebellious child do. For me, I was so helpless to stand to be one of their daughter because of the thought that they had their favorites among us. As for that, my thought was wrong because of I closed my heart to my family. I didn't listen in any explanations they're telling me.

They let me live in my own feet for how many months because I used to go away from our house. It was a badass decision to leave them. It was a hard time for me to live in another house for me to struggle in my own. I just got lucky to the family that accept me when I run home. That was the moment when I remember that every decision must be thinking it first.

I study at Mindanao State University-Tambler in the course of Diplomate in Building Construction for 1 year and 1 semester. I didn't finished that course because of the peer pressure that I've got. Again, my mother let me enrolled at Cronasia Foundation College Inc. in the course of HRM 2 years technical vocational and luckily, I finished it. I graduated last 2012. For I don't have interest in finding some jobs, my mother AGAIN let me enrolled at my same old school in the course of BS Office Administration at the standing of being a 2nd year irregular. Praise God! I was too lucky because my mother was very supportive on me for all this time.
